Often considered the quiet alternative to the busy Panama City Beaches an hour west, our area offers the best of Florida beaches, with Cape San Blas receiving a national award from the American Shore and Beach Preservation Association in May, 2009.St. Joseph Peninsula State Park and nearby Crooked Island offer miles of pristine, undeveloped shorelines and calm, clear waters. The historic fishing villages of Carrabelle and Apalachicola are located just to the east with the shopping outlets of Seaside and Destin as an easy drive west.
